Hello Mamas (and Papas)

My name is Brynn, pronounced like br-ih-n 😉 and I'm the writer of The Homesteading Mama.

I’ve started this blog for a number of reasons- the biggest one being that I am hoping to help my hubby with some extra cash for our living expenses.

The second reason being I have a lot to share! And I hope you and I can learn more NEW things becoming knowledgable in sustainable living, homesteading, herbal studies, and being a Mom!

I am a mother of one, we will call her Acorn, she has taught me so much already! Every day is different! Everyday is an adventure- as all you Mamas can attest, learning how to raise a little human and understanding that they are their own people is such a joy and challenge! And I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. 🌸

There are a few things I hope to regularly cover in this blog;

1. Homesteading- I grew up on a farm, and having a homestead of my own has always been a dream! Though I currently live on a military base and won’t have any land for a while yet- I plan on starting to learn, and re-learn, the skills my husband and I will want to have on the homestead. ( i.e. soap making, gardening, herbology, animal husbandry, carpentry, etc.)

   
   

2. Homemaking- I am a new mama, my little one isn’t even a year old yet as of this post and learning how to keep and make our home has become a challenge! Though as I continue to do it, I have started learning some tips, from other blogging mamas, and my own family. I want to share some of these tips, at least the ones that work for me! And maybe they can work for you!

   
   

3. Babies- like I said, I am a fairly new mama. And my little one is going to be my first of hopefully many! As I plan on sharing my homemaking tips, I plan on doing the same with what I learn while taking care of my little Acorn(s). From my birth story, to how I got her in her own bedroom at 2 months, to how I am trying to raise her with very little screen time, and so much more! Again, as I learn things that work for US! I will share them with you!

   
   

4. Any other thing that has impacted our life that I feel would help others make choices and learn. From my mistakes, to things I’m trying, to things I’ve mastered! I want to share them all with you!
